Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to bookings (land and sea excursions and outdoor activities) made February 1, 2021 or later.
This page explains our Cancellation Policy. Any person who books or places a booking offer for a tour with Xanda Tours & Rentals (“You”) can cancel bookings and accept cancellations, refunds and/or reimbursements pursuant to the following terms and conditions.

How to Cancel a Booking:
All cancellations must be initiated by contacting Xanda Tours & Rentals via:

Terms and Conditions:
Although every effort is made, Xanda Tours & Rentals shall not be liable for any illness, injury, damages, loss, delay or failure to join the tour or rental appointment, that may occur due to factors beyond our control. We highly recommend all passenger have travel insurance coverage. Xanda Tours & Rentals retains the right to alter routes, itineraries, fares, inclusions, days of operation or even cancel tours if unforeseen circumstances occur. Other accredited tour operators may be used on some tours.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation or change of date outside of 7 days of departure will result in a full refund of the tour price.
Cancellation or change of date within 7 days of departure will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
Failure to board, change of date or cancellation within 48 hours of departure will result in full fare forfeiture.

Change of Date Policy: Where possible Xanda Tours & Rentals will try to honor change of date requests that are made with more than 7 days’ notice. This is not possible for all tours and is always subject to availability. Change of date requests that are made with less than 7 days’ notice may be subject to an adjustment fee which falls in line with the cancellation fee structure.

Unforeseeable Events
You may receive a refund of the tour price if You are prevented from taking the tour because of an unforeseeable event that is out of your control and shows up after the booking (“Unforeseeable Events”). The determination of what constitutes Unforeseeable Events is at the discretion of Xanda Tours & Rentals. The following is a list of examples of what we consider as Unforeseeable Events:
(a) Impersonal events that make it dangerous or impossible to safely undertake a tour, such as: travel restrictions imposed by governments, epidemic disease unusual to an area, war, civil insurrection, strike, extreme weather, earthquake and natural disaster;
(b) A ship that is unable to dock and prevents You from taking a tour identified and marked as a shore excursion tour type on the site;
(c) A flight cancellation if there are no other means to travel to the destination; and
(d) A “Do Not Travel” advisory issued by the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago after a booking is made.

The following do not constitute Unforeseeable Events: 
(a) Illness or injury of a tour participant; 
(b) Poor weather; 
(c) Change of plans; 
(d) Oversleeping. 

We may require You to provide verification and/or documentation to confirm that You were unable to take your tour if You request a refund under this provision. You may check with Xanda Tours & Rentals that the event is an Unforeseeable Event and that You can provide the required documentation before You cancel any booking.
